This Privacy Policy explains what information WebHostingBreak (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit webhostingbreak.com (the “Site”), why, and what choices you have. For questions or requests, email [email protected].

Summary

  • We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept the cookie notice; until then Google Consent Mode keeps analytics storage switched off. We run no advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share your personal information for advertising.
  • Like any website, our servers see technical data such as your IP address when you load a page.
  • If you click a link to a hosting provider, that provider (or its affiliate network) may set its own cookies.

Information we collect

  • Server logs. When you request a page, our web server and hosting infrastructure record technical data: IP address, date and time, requested URL, referring page, and browser and device type (user agent). We use this to deliver the Site, keep it secure and troubleshoot errors.
  • Free tools. When you use a tool (for example DNS lookup, whois, port or blacklist checks), the domain name or IP address you enter is sent from our server to the services needed to answer the query, such as DNS resolvers, domain registries (RDAP/whois) and public DNS blocklists. Results may be cached on our server for a short time. Your own IP address is used briefly to rate-limit requests and prevent abuse.
  • Outbound clicks. Links to providers pass through a redirect on our domain (/go/…). We keep an aggregate click count per provider; we do not store who clicked.
  • Messages. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

Cookies and similar technologies

Two things store data in your browser:

  • The cookie notice writes one value to local storage so the banner is not shown again. It holds no personal information.
  • Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-5M8J5QLHKX) sets its own cookies to recognise a returning browser and to measure sessions — but only after you accept the notice. Before that, Consent Mode keeps analytics_storage denied, so Google receives cookieless pings without identifiers. IP addresses are anonymised, and we have not enabled advertising features or data sharing for advertising.

Google acts as our processor for this data; its handling is described in Google’s own privacy policy. You can opt out at any time by declining cookies in your browser, by clearing local storage, or with Google’s browser add-on. We will update this policy before adding any advertising or personalisation.

Third-party services loaded by the Site

  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) delivers the fonts used on the Site, and jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net) delivers a script used to display emoji. When your browser loads these files, those services receive your IP address and browser information under their own privacy policies.
  • Hosting providers and affiliate networks. When you follow a link to a provider’s website, you leave our Site. The provider or its affiliate network may set cookies to attribute a purchase to us. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies.

How and why we use information

  • To operate, secure and improve the Site, and to prevent abuse of the free tools (legitimate interests).
  • To answer your messages and correction reports (your request, and our legitimate interest in keeping our information accurate).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that host and deliver the Site on our behalf, when the law requires it, or to protect the Site and its users from fraud or abuse. We do not sell personal information and do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

Data retention

Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting and are then deleted. Tool rate-limit records expire within minutes. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.

International transfers

The Site is operated from servers that may be located outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Residents of the EU, EEA and UK can also complain to their local data protection authority. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and not to be discriminated against for using these rights; we treat Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sale or sharing, although we do not sell or share personal information.

Children

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA and UK). We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
