We don't sell hosting.
We help you pick the right one.
WebHostingBreak is an independent comparison of VPS, web hosting, dedicated servers and DDoS protection for buyers in the US and worldwide. We compare plans from 39 providers on the numbers that matter: monthly and renewal price in USD, specs, data center locations, uptime SLA, support and money-back terms.
What WebHostingBreak is
and why it exists
Choosing a host is harder than it should be. You open ten tabs, compare CPU cores in your head, try to decode "unmetered" and "up to 1 Gbps", and discover the real price only at checkout, when the first-term discount turns into a much higher renewal rate.
WebHostingBreak collects plan data from VPS, web hosting, dedicated server and DDoS protection providers and puts it into one consistent format: CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth, data center location, monthly price and renewal price in USD. No "contact sales" — just numbers you can compare side by side.
The webhostingbreak.com domain has hosted a web hosting review site since 2008. In 2026 the site was relaunched as a data-driven hosting and VPS comparison platform, and every review and data point on the current site was produced for the relaunch. We work for readers, not providers: developers, sysadmins, agencies and site owners who need a straight answer to "Which server should I get for this project?"
Reviews and comparisons are written and maintained by the WebHostingBreak Editorial Team. We have not bought the plans we list or run our own speed or uptime tests: reviews summarize what providers publish (plans, prices, renewal terms, locations, SLAs and refund policies), and every review lists its sources and the date its data was checked. How we work is set out in our editorial policy.
Independent
We are not owned by any hosting company, and providers cannot pay for a higher position or a better score.
Transparent
This page explains where our data comes from and how ratings are calculated. We do not publish speed or uptime results we have not measured, and if we don't have a data point, we say so.
Kept current
Hosting prices change often. We re-check provider pricing pages and update plans when they change — and fix errors as soon as they are reported.
Real prices
Promo prices are only half the story. Where providers publish them, we show renewal prices and money-back terms next to the headline price.
How we collect and update data
Every provider goes through the same five steps. Our data comes from what providers publish officially, normalized so plans from different companies can be compared fairly.
Official pricing pages
We start from each provider's own pricing and plan pages, not from press releases or third-party lists. Prices are recorded in USD per month.
Plan specs, standardized
Each plan is mapped to one schema: vCPU cores, RAM, storage size and type (NVMe, SSD, HDD), bandwidth, IPv4/IPv6, backups and control panel.
Data center locations
We take data center lists from provider sites and tie them to plans, so you can filter by country and city — from US regions to Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Renewal prices & guarantees
We note renewal prices, money-back guarantee periods, free trials, billing options and the uptime SLA stated in the provider's terms.
Review & corrections
An editor checks the result before it goes live. When a provider changes prices or a reader reports an error, we re-check the source and update the listing.
How we calculate ratings
Every provider gets a score from 0 to 10 based on six factors: price and value, specs, locations, uptime SLA, support and billing flexibility. Ratings are based on published plan data and terms — the same rules apply to every provider, affiliate partner or not.
Price & value
What you get per dollar: entry price, the renewal price after the first term, and how much CPU, RAM and storage each plan includes for the money.
Specs & locations
Hardware and network per plan (NVMe storage, modern CPUs, bandwidth, IPv6, backups) and how many data center regions you can choose from.
Uptime SLA & support
The uptime guarantee written into the provider's terms, 24/7 availability of support and the channels offered: live chat, tickets, email or phone.
Billing flexibility
Hourly or monthly billing, free trials, money-back guarantee length, and payment options such as credit cards, PayPal and crypto.
Affiliate disclosure & editorial independence
Some links on WebHostingBreak are affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never affects our ratings or rankings.
Commissions keep the site free to use, but they do not decide what we publish. Providers cannot buy a higher position, a better score or the removal of a critical note, and we list providers whether or not they have an affiliate program.
Found a wrong price, an outdated plan or a location that no longer exists? Email us at [email protected] with a link to the page and, if possible, the provider's source — we check every report and correct the listing.
