Verpex at a glance
Verpex is a privately owned hosting company launched in late 2018, with its correspondence address in Poole, Dorset, in the United Kingdom and staff across offices in London, Bali, Tel Aviv, Sofia and Lagos. It says it now hosts more than 300,000 websites in 181 countries. The range is deliberately narrow: shared and WordPress hosting, cloud web hosting, cPanel reseller plans, and unmanaged or managed VPS on Linux and Windows. Everything runs on cPanel with CloudLinux underneath, which makes it an easy landing spot for anyone leaving an older cPanel host.
Who Verpex is for
- Site owners who want cPanel specifically rather than a proprietary panel, at an entry-level price.
- Freelancers and small agencies that resell hosting and need WHM plus per-client cPanel accounts without buying a licence.
- WordPress users who want LiteSpeed, daily backups and free migrations handled by the provider.
- Developers who need a Linux or Windows VPS with root access and unmetered traffic in one of nine regions.
It is a weaker fit if you need hourly billing, a published network specification, or a DDoS-hardened platform.
Pricing and renewals
Shared hosting has three tiers on a 12-month term. Bronze is $3.00/mo ($36.00 up front) for one website, 30 GB of NVMe, 1 GB of memory and one vCPU. Silver is $5.00/mo for 100 websites and 50 GB; Gold is $9.00/mo for unlimited websites and 100 GB. Renewals are $6.00, $10.00 and $15.00 a month, roughly double rather than the threefold jump common in this segment. The home page advertises hosting from $0.60/mo without naming the term, so $3.00 is the figure you can verify.
Reseller plans are the other half of the business. Reseller 15 is $17.16/mo on a 12-month term and renews at $22.00; Reseller 30 is $20.42 renewing at $40.83; Reseller 60 is $27.60 renewing at $69.00; Reseller 100 is $71.94 renewing at $109.00. Each client account gets 2 GB of LVE memory, and WHM plus cPanel licences are included.
Unmanaged Linux VPS starts at $10.00/mo for VPS-D4 (2 Xeon vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 80 GB NVMe), renewing at $19.99. VPS-D8 is $20.00 renewing at $39.99, VPS-D16 is $40.00 renewing at $79.99, and VPS-D32 with 16 vCPU and 32 GB RAM is $55.00 renewing at $109.99. Windows VPS is sold separately with the Server 2022 licence included: $30.00/mo for 4 cores and 8 GB, $53.40/mo for 8 cores and 16 GB. All VPS tiers carry unlimited traffic and optional cPanel/WHM.
Features
Shared, WordPress and reseller
Shared and reseller accounts run LiteSpeed on CloudLinux with cPanel, Softaculous, WP-CLI, Monarx malware scanning, AutoSSL and the SitePad builder. Backups run twice daily to off-site storage and are browsable and restorable through Backuply. PHP runs from legacy 5.6 up to 8.5 at no extra charge, Node.js and Python work through Passenger, and MariaDB is the database. A free domain registration or transfer is included on annual terms but not on monthly billing.
VPS
The unmanaged line gives full root access on KVM with NVMe storage and dedicated vCPU allocations, and cPanel/WHM can be added to any tier. The managed Linux VPS range is sold by memory, from 4 GB up to 256 GB, and adds cPanel/WHM, CloudLinux, HTTP/3, Redis, Memcached, Elasticsearch, a web application firewall and 24/7 monitoring. Managed prices load from the checkout system rather than the page.
Data centers
Verpex publishes nine regions: Dallas and New York in the United States, plus Toronto, Mexico City, London, Frankfurt, Mumbai, Singapore and Sydney. You pick the region per account, which matters for reseller clients and for data residency. Verpex is unusually open about running no data centers of its own: it builds on Linode, DigitalOcean and LeaseWeb, keeping AWS and Google Cloud for managed servers because bandwidth there is too costly for shared plans. It also sells a green VPS line based on renewable energy in those facilities.
Performance and reliability
The uptime commitment is not uniform. Bronze is listed at 99.50%, Silver and Gold at 99.99%, the VPS pages state a 99.9% SLA, and managed Linux VPS is advertised at 99.99%. LiteSpeed plus CloudLinux LVE limits is a sensible shared stack, and entry processes and I/O caps are published per tier, which is more transparency than most budget hosts offer. One caveat: the terms of service say likely DDoS targets should buy mitigation from a third party, so this is not a platform for attack-heavy projects.
Support and money-back guarantee
Support runs 24/7/365 through live chat, tickets, email and phone lines in the United States and the United Kingdom, with a published average ticket response of roughly 30 minutes. Migrations are free and unlimited. The money-back guarantee is 30 days on all products except domains, servers and third-party licences; it applies only to a first term and can be used once per customer. Payment is by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Verdict
Verpex is a solid, honest mid-market cPanel host. Renewal multipliers are gentler than most budget brands, the reseller line is well specified, and the company is refreshingly direct about renting infrastructure rather than pretending to own it. The trade-offs are an uptime guarantee that is weakest on the cheapest plan, no published network speed, a hands-off stance on DDoS, and managed and Windows pricing you cannot see before checkout. For a small agency or a WordPress owner who wants cPanel and real humans on chat, it belongs on the shortlist.
