FastComet at a glance

FastComet is a privately held managed hosting company that started in 2013 and sells shared cPanel hosting, managed Cloud VPS and managed Dedicated CPU servers. Its about page claims more than 750,000 site owners and over 100 staff, and its data center page lists twelve locations across the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia. Every product ships with cPanel or cPanel/WHM, managed support and free migrations, which puts FastComet closer to SiteGround or InMotion than to a self-service cloud.

Who it is for

  • Small business sites, blogs and WordPress projects that want cPanel and hands-on support rather than a custom panel.
  • Buyers who care about geography: the same plan can sit in Dallas, Newark, Fremont, Toronto, London, Frankfurt, Milan, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Tokyo, Mumbai or Sydney.
  • Agencies wanting a managed VPS or dedicated CPU server with cPanel/WHM and no sysadmin work.

It is a poor fit for anyone who wants unmanaged hourly cloud servers, Windows Server, or the cheapest long-term renewal price.

Pricing and renewals

FastComet is often listed as a host that never raises the price at renewal. That claim does not appear anywhere on its own pages as captured in 2026, so treat it as out of date. The shared price list captured on 15 September 2026 shows Starter at $1.99/mo, Essential at $2.99, Plus at $3.99 and Extra at $5.49, each printing a “Regular price” beneath it – $9.95, $12.95, $17.95 and $24.95 – under the footnote “The promotional price is for the first term only and renews at the regular rate.” Renewals therefore run three to five times the intro rate.

The pattern repeats on the server lines, where the tables carry explicit sale and renewal rows: Cloud 2 at $53.87/mo renewing at $76.95, Cloud 3 at $69.27 renewing at $98.95, Cloud 4 at $107.77 renewing at $153.95, and DS 1 at $107.07 renewing at $152.95. One caveat: the dedicated marketing page and the dedicated price list captured the same day disagree, so confirm those numbers at checkout.

One more gap: no captured page states how long that first term is, so the real upfront cost only appears in the cart.

Features

Shared hosting

Starter and Essential host a single website with 10 GB and 20 GB of NVMe storage; Plus and Extra allow unlimited sites with 30 GB and 40 GB. The table publishes guaranteed CPU and RAM per plan, from 1 core and 1 GB up to 4 cores and 4 GB, and estimates roughly 10,000 to 100,000 monthly visits. Mailboxes and databases are capped at 5 on Starter and 25 on Essential, then unlimited. All tiers include free Let’s Encrypt SSL, Cloudflare CDN integration, LiteSpeed with LSCWP caching, Imunify360, CloudLinux isolation, the WordPress Toolkit, Softaculous, Node.js, Python and PHP 5.6 to 8.4. Daily off-site backups are kept 7 days, or 30 on Extra. Domains are not free, but a transfer includes a year of renewal.

VPS and dedicated CPU

Both server lines are fully managed KVM instances with cPanel/WHM on CloudLinux, so FastComet maintains the stack instead of handing over a bare distribution. Cloud VPS plans run from 2 vCPU with 4 GB of ECC RAM and 80 GB of storage up to 24 vCPU with 128 GB. Dedicated CPU servers use AMD EPYC 7501 cores reserved for one customer, pitched at CI builds, encoding, databases and busy application servers. DDoS protection, Monarx scanning, daily and weekly backups and free transfers are bundled in.

Data centers

Twelve sites are listed with opening dates and test IPs: Dallas, Newark and Fremont in the USA, plus Toronto, London, Frankfurt, Milan, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Tokyo, Mumbai and Sydney. The network page quotes three independent networks, 12 Gbps of public egress per location and a CDN with around 200 anycast points. For a US audience that means three domestic regions plus Toronto, more choice than most managed cPanel hosts at this price.

Performance and reliability

FastComet publishes a 99.9% uptime commitment, monitored every 60 seconds from seven locations, with credits of 10% of the monthly fee per hour of downtime up to the full month; managed server pages quote 99.99%. Shared plans sit on AMD EPYC nodes with NVMe storage and LiteSpeed Enterprise, and resource spikes trigger a warning rather than suspension.

Support and guarantee

Support runs 24/7/365 over live chat and tickets, with a US toll-free sales line on every page, and FastComet reports an 83% first-contact resolution rate. Help with WordPress and other open-source software is included rather than billed as an add-on, and migrations are free. The money-back window is 30 days, stated in both the feature table and the pricing FAQ; the 45-day figure that circulates in older reviews is not on the current pages. Accepted payments shown are Visa, Mastercard, American Express and PayPal.

Verdict

FastComet is still a solid managed cPanel host with a wide data center footprint, bundled security and backups, and support that is included rather than upsold. What has changed is the pricing story: the site no longer advertises a price that stays flat at renewal, renewals land three to five times above the sign-up price, and entry VPS pricing near $54/mo is high next to self-managed alternatives. Buy it for the support, the panel and the locations, budget for the renewal, and check the term length in the cart.
